Swedish Rejlers gets engineering order for 35 MW biomass plant

Apr 16, 2012 - Swedish technical consultancy Rejlerkoncernen AB (STO:REJL B), or Rejlers, said today it had received an engineering contract for a 35 MW biomass-fired plant in Otofta, near Lund, southern Sweden.

No financial details were available.

The customer is Foster Wheeler Energia, a Finnish subsidiary of Swiss-based power equipment supplier Foster Wheeler AG (NASDAQ:FWLT).

The contract covers engineering of automation, electrification and instrumentation. Rejlers started work in March and the boiler is scheduled to start operation in the spring of 2014.

The circulating fluidised bed (CFB) boiler is designed to burn 100% bio-fuel with up to 50% demolition wood. It will replace a fossil-fuel plant of Swedish utility Lunds Energi.
