Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTOct 18, 2013 - Swiss green energy producer Kleinkraftwerk Birseck (KKB) said yesterday it had acquired 100% in French Parc de Beaumont, in charge of building and managing a 12 MW wind farm, located near Nantes, western France.
Financial details were not disclosed.
The park will become operational in the summer of 2014 and will produce some 30 GWh of electricity, thus covering the needs of 9,000 households annually.
The operator will be Zephyr, set up through the partnership between a French consultancy and a German wind energy development firm.
Thanks to the acquisition, KKB will be able to enrich its asset portfolio, which already includes 17 hydroelectric power stations and 11 solar farms in France.
