The Syrian ministry of electricity transmission establishment has launched tenders seeking developers that will execute two solar photovoltaic (PV) projects totalling 63 MW.

One of the projects concerns the construction of a 40-MW solar farm at the Jandar combined cycle power plant in Homs Governorate. The second project, of 23 MW, is to be implemented near Damascus.

According to the tender announcement, which was forwarded to Pakistan’s Alternative Energy Development Board, potential bidders can apply by April 20, 2020.
