TABLE - Brazil's Aneel clears tests of turbines of over 150 MW at 10 wind plants

Mar 6, 2014 - Brazilian electricity sector watchdog Aneel yesterday cleared the test operations of turbines exceeding total 150 MW at 10 wind power plants in the northeastern Rio Grande do Norte state as of March 1, 2014.

Aneel's decision is valid for the wind farms Uniao dos Ventos 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. The regulator will decide whether to clear the turbines' commercial operation only after the completion of the test phase.
