This will be the biggest carport solar system in the state of West Bengal and in the Indian health sector, according to the company. The system will produce about 426,000 kWh of power and save 0.08 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions a year.
The hospital will get the solar electricity under a power purchase agreement (PPA) it has signed with Tata Power.
"The project requires a complex level of EPC expertise and customised plan layout for which Tata Power has created high level engineered design enabling the team to efficiently assemble the structure," the company said.
