TerniEnergia to seek external growth in 2015-2017 - report

Italian renewable energy company TerniEnergia (BIT:TER) will seek to grow via acquisitions both in Italy and outside Italy under its 2015-2017 business plan, chairman and chief executive Stefano Neri told the Radiocor agency in an interview published on TerniEnergia's website on Saturday.

TerniEnergia has launched a buyback programme to make such deals easier, Neri added. The company will be looking to grow in an external expansion in South Africa, South America and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the manager told Radiocor.

TerniEnergia's 2015-2017 plan, expected to be approved by its board of directors on Monday, also entails focusing on smart energy services, apart from the traditional renewable energy generation and waste management businesses, Neri said.

The company expects to have posted a net profit of EUR 6 million (USD 6.8m) in 2014, the manager added.
