Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTFeb 13, 2014 - French wind energy group Theolia (EPA: TEO) reported today a revenue growth of 41% to EUR 95.45 million (USD 130m) in 2013 thanks to the integration of German company Breeze Two Energy.
However, excluding the contribution from Breeze Two Energy, sales were on the decline by 15.9%.
Theolia's sales of electricity for own account reached EUR 85.3 million, up 73% with the contribution from the German group. Otherwise, that activity marked a drop of 5.3%.
The French company explained that it was badly affected by the unfavourable wind conditions in the first and third quarters of 2013.
Overall, Theolia operates 1,224 MW for its own account and for third parties. The group is present in four countries, namely France, Germany, Morocco and Italy.
The company added it had obtained a construction permit to set up three wind turbines in the Moselle department, France. The overall capacity of the future wind park will be 7.5 MW.
At the same time, the construction of another wind park in France, in Hautes Bornes, will start at the end of the current quarter. It will comprise seven turbines with an installed capacity of 21 MW.
