Romania's CIS Group to build 23-MW solar park at home
Sep 19, 2024 9:59 CESTBUCHAREST (Romania), February 20 (SeeNews) – Italy's Energiaprima and Stargreen Consulting and Spain's Bester Generacion plan to build four or five solar parks in Romania this year with a combined installed capacity of 200 megawatts (MW), legal and consulting firm Ciurtin&Associates said on Thursday.
The three companies have already invested a combined 170 million euro ($233.7 million) in three solar parks with a combined installed capacity of 90 MW, which were completed last year, Ciurtin&Associates, which provided the legal procedures involving the development of Solaris solar park, said in a statement.
Energiaprima, Bester Generacion and Stargreen Consulting invested 105 million euro in a 56 MW solar park located in the northwestern city of Livada. The Solaris project covers 135 hectares and produces 67,000 megawatt hours (MWh) per year.
The investment in the project was made in partnership with two of the most important technological and financial holdings in South Korea, Hyosung Corporation and NH Investment & Securities (NHIS).
The other two parks, with installed capacities of 27 MW and 7.0 MW are located in the southern town of Aricestii Rahtivani and the southwestern city of Caracal.
The solar park in Aricestii Rahtivani covers an area of 60 hectares and produces 32,200 MWh annually while the Caracal one, of 7MW, covers 15.5 hectares and produces 8,123 MWh annually.
