US intelligent solar and energy software solutions provider Tigo Energy Inc (NASDAQ:TYGO) announced on Wednesday it will deliver its optimisers to a 54-MW floating solar plant in Brazil.

The supply order consists of 97,200 Tigo optimizers, including the Tigo TS4-X-O MLPE line. Solar development company Apollo Flutuantes is the client.

Located on the Lajeado Hydropower Plant reservoir in Tocantins state, the floating solar project will comprise 18 solar islands, making it the largest of its kind in the country.

The Lajeado floating solar project should be completed in December 2025.

Apollo Flutuantes' CEO, Jose Alves Teixeira Filho, highlighted the benefit of this initiative: “With rapid shutdown through optimizer technology, we can isolate specific portions of the system to safely address issues without having to shut the entire operation down. This project serves as an important example to replicate across Brazil as our solar installations and ambitions get bigger and bigger.”
