Elawan bags Google PPA for 37-MW solar project in Texas
Sep 19, 2024 13:49 CESTTillman Green LLC of the US and UK-based Global Tower Solutions (GTS) have formed a joint venture that will focus on diesel displacement for telecom towers.
The companies said yesterday that the JV, called Tillman GTS, planned to invest USD 500 million (EUR 445m) over the next three years by providing capital to the mobile telecom tower market. It will offer renewable energy and battery storage as an alternative to diesel in off-grid or bad-grid telecom tower power and is looking at opportunities in Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia.
The partnership combines Tillman's experience in telecom infrastructure and GTS' experience with renewable energy.
"GTS has a proven track record in identifying and executing solar solutions for telecom tower businesses and we plan to build a renewable energy platform together," said Sanjiv Ahuja, chairman of Tillman Green.
According to the announcement, Tillman GTS has a financing solution that will allow for large programme energy as a service delivery.
