The African Solar Services Company, also known as Afrises, has won a 25-MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project in the Ghanaian capital Accra, its head told Egyptian newspaper Al Mal.

The Egyptian solar power company expects to sign a deal for the project next month, CEO Ahmed Hamdy was quoted as saying on Sunday. The firm estimates its total investment in the scheme at about USD 25 million (EUR 21.5m).

According to Hamdy, Afrises has been competing for this project with several companies operating in Ghana. The company will be using Chinese PV cells and ABB transformers for this plant.
