The cabinet of Bolivia has approved a decree that guarantees the investment of USD 110 million (EUR 95.4m) for the development of 45 MW of wind power projects, acting president Alvaro Garcia Linera announced on Wednesday.

One wind park of 24 MW will be built in Tarija department and another, of 21 MW, will be constructed in Santa Cruz.

At present, Bolivia has a geothermal agreement with Japan and new solar power plants in development, ensuring that the country remains at the top with the highest per capita investment in renewable energy, Garcia Linea said.
