Brookfield Renewable Partners LP (NYSE:BEP) said on Tuesday it has raised CAD 250 million (USD 191m/EUR 181m) in gross proceeds from its previously announced issuance of preferred units.

The renewable power producer issued 10 million cumulative minimum rate reset class A preferred limited partnership units, Series 11, at a price of CAD 25.00 per unit. The offering was underwritten by a syndicate led by TD Securities Inc, CIBC Capital Markets, RBC Capital Markets and Scotiabank for distribution to the public.

As previously announced, Brookfield Renewable will use the proceeds to pay back indebtedness and for general corporate purposes.
