Cuba and China signed a commercial contract for the implementation of a 100-MW photovoltaic (PV) project in the Greater Antilles.

The project is part of Cuba's renewable energy strategy, that outlines investments until 2030. The signing of the commercial contract for the project was announced this week by the foreign affairs ministry in Cuba.

Last year, the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) offered a AED-55-million (USD 14.9m/EUR 13.3m) concessionary loan to the government of Cuba for the development of a 10-MW solar project in the country.
