Bolivia and El Salvador have reached an agreement on Tuesday for the start of a 5-MW geothermal pilot project in Bolivia, the country's energy ministry announced.

State-owned geothermal energy company LaGeo of El Salvador will be responsible for the project, assisting with the supervision, management, installation, technical specifications and engineering of the plant.

The energy ministry did not give further details about the project.
