to-the-point: Geodynamics gets enviro nod for 8-MW geothermal scheme

Australian company Geodynamics Ltd (ASX:GDY) has received environmental approvals for the exploration phase of the 8-MW Takara geothermal power project in Vanuatu.

The acting director of the Department of Environmental Protection and Conservation has this week permitted Geodynamics to drill two geothermal exploration wells at Takara, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

The project on the island of Efate will be developed in two stages, each involving the installation of a net 4-MW plant.
