to-the-point: Guangdong East builds 216-kW PV array in Mali

Chinese battery backup firm Guangdong East Power Co Ltd (SHE:300376) has installed an off-grid photovoltaic (PV) system of 216 kW in Mali’s village of Ntilele.

The custom-tailored solar station is equipped with 250-W PV panels, 120-kV off-grid inverters, 12-V/200AH GEL Deep cycle batteries and PV brackets sets. The array was constructed for just 12 days, according to the press release.

Some 70% of all villages in Mali have no access to electricity, Guangdong East noted. Looking forward, the company plans to further expand its presence in remote regions in Africa.

Guangdong East Power makes uninterrupted power supply (UPS) devices, solar inverters and batteries.
