Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTJapanese company Abalance Corp announced on Tuesday that its subsidiary WWB Corp has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Cambodian government for a solar project with a capacity of 200 MW to 300 MW.
According to a previous report, WWB is expected to invest some USD 250 million (EUR 201.47m) in the construction of this plant.
No further details were given by the company.
This photovoltaic (PV) project will help diversify the Kingdom's energy mix, as electricity is supplied mainly by fossil fuels, thermal and hydropower plants (HPP). Currently, the country has to import power from its neighbours as it cannot produce all the electricity needed to meet demand, Abalance noted.
