Japanese company Koyo Eletric Corp on Tuesday said it will open a solar panel assembly plant in Tanzania.

The Tokyo-based company set up a local subsidiary under the name of Koyo Bussan Tanzania Limited. The new unit will manage the factory which will be located in Dar es Salaam, a major city and commercial port on Tanzania’s Indian Ocean coast.
