Thai project management and engineering firm Modern Energy Management Co Ltd (MEM) said on Monday it will carry out technical and commercial due diligence on the acquisition of shares in a 50-MW wind project in Pakistan.

MEM said in a statement it had been hired to do this job by a confidential investor. Managing director Aaron Daniels pointed out that the Thai company had already been appointed Owner’s Representative by that client.

“With our understanding of the Pakistan renewable energy market, we were able to introduce them to their first wind power project in Pakistan,” Daniels added.

MEM did not give more details about the project.
