to-the-point: MiaSole agrees sales tie-up in Scandinavian market

California-based thin-film solar maker MiaSole on Tuesday said that in 2016 it will be represented in the Scandinavian market by Finland's Virte Solar.

Under a sales representative agreement, Virte Solar will immediately start shipping building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) roofing systems using MiaSole FLEX modules in the entire Scandinavian region including Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. Virte Solar is a unit of metal roofing manufacturer Virte Metal Corp.

MiaSole, which in 2012 became part of China's Hanergy group, manufactures thin-film copper indium gallium selenide (CIGS) solar cells and panels.
