The government of Myanmar is seeking parties willing to supply, install and maintain photovoltaic (PV) systems at 13,000 homes and public buildings in Southern Shan State.

Proposals will be accepted by September 17.

The Request for Bids was launched by the Department of Rural Development (DRD) as part of the country’s Rural Electrification Programme (REP), which is being financed by German state-owned bank KfW. Part of the provided funds will be allocated for the solar home systems initiative, according to documents published by the Germany Trade and Invest (GTAI).
