Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTIndependent power producer Sertum Energy Namibia has completed a 5-MW portion of a 27-MW solar project in Namibia.
The country’s vice president Nangolo Mbumba has inaugurated the NAD-120-million (USD 7.9m/EUR 7.2m) plant at the Orano Trekkopje Mine on Thursday, according to The Namibian.
The report says that Sertum Energy Namibia is a partnership between local businessman Elton Katangolo and Italian renewable energy sector player Enertronica SpA (BIT:ENT). The developer of the project has a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with NamPower tied to the country’s feed-in-tariff (FiT) programme.
