Danish wind turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) said today it has bought back a total of DKK 228.6 million (USD 33.1m/EUR 30.6m) worth of shares last week under its previously announced programme.

Between November 30 and December 4, the company has repurchased a total of 497,038 own shares, it said in a statement.

On November 5, the company announced a plan to repurchase up to DKK 1.12 billion worth of own shares to adjust its capital structure and meet the obligations arising from employee share option programmes or other share allocations to Vestas staff. So far, it has bought back some DKK 787 million of stock in total.

The programme will close on December 31, 2015.
