The Togolese Agency for Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy (AT2ER) has issued a request for pre-qualification to screen bidders who could develop, finance, build and operate two solar photovoltaic (PV) parks with 60 MWac to 80 MWac of installed capacity combined.

The projects are located near Awandjelo in Togo’s Kara region and near Sokode in the Central region of the West African country.

The pre-qualification stage concludes on March 30, 2020.

The following tender will be open to independent power producers (IPPs) and organised through the Scaling Solar initiative, a World Bank Group programme aimed at governments in emerging markets.

According to the AT2ER’s pre-qualification notice, potential bidders are required to have the experience, expertise and financial resources to carry out the projects under tight deadlines. Pre-qualified bidders can bid for both projects and win them if they offer the best prices.

The concession will be awarded for 25 years.
