Singapore lines up 1.4 GW of solar imports from Indonesia, ups goal
Sep 06, 2024 12:53 CESTTotal Solar Distributed Generation (DG), a unit of French energy major Total SA (EPA:FP), will install a 1.3-MWp solar power system at a milk processing plant in Palaan, East Java, Indonesia.
The solar company has found a customer in local dairy producer Greenfields and signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) for the installation’s output.
According to a press release on Tuesday, Greenfields processes 70 million litres of milk each year at the Palaan plant. Around 20% of the facility’s power needs will be covered by the new solar array, which will be able to generate approximately 1,770 MWh of electricity per year.
The project will require 3,750 modules and the system is expected to start running in the third quarter of 2020.
