Total Solar Distributed Generation (DG), part of French oil major Total SA (EPA:FP), said that it has wrapped up a 950-kWp solar rooftop installation in Vietnam for local textile maker Men-Chuen Vietnam Co. Ltd.

The installation, located in Giang Dien, consists of 2,200 solar panels and will produce up to 1,300 MWh of power annually, enough to cover 40% of Men-Chuen's demand for electricity. The array will also help save 500 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions a year.

In June 2020, Total completed a 3.2-MWp rooftop solar system for sports footwear manufacturer Ching Luh Group in the country. The company has also developed similar projects in Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand.
