A joint venture (JV) of French energy group TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTE) and Japan’s ENEOS Holdings Inc (TYO:5020) will build an 800-kWp solar system tied to a 1,344-kWh battery to power a new bottling facility in Cambodia.

TotalEnergies ENEOS Renewables Distributed Generation Asia Pte Ltd said on Wednesday the hybrid system will be built for Cambodia’s Eau Kulen natural mineral water producer Kulara Water Co Ltd.

The ground-mounted photovoltaic (PV) park will be set up on the site of Kulara Water’s new bottling facility located in Srayang Thaung Village, Preah Vihear province.

Under the agreement, the Singapore-based JV will ensure the safety of the energy production and storage over a 15-year period.

Focused on developing B2B solar distributed generation (DG) projects across Asia, TotalEnergies ENEOS aims to develop 2 GW of decentralised solar over the next five years.
