French multi-energy group TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTE) is seeking all pre-construction and construction permits for the Ramal Sur project in Spain, which will involve the installation of an 85.8-MW wind farm and a 44.72-MW solar farm and their hybridisation with an existing thermal power plant (TPP).

The group’s application for consent, a construction permit and an environmental approval were released for public consultation on Tuesday, as announced in Spain’s official state gazette.

TotalEnergies will invest over EUR 88.8 million (USD 95.6m) in the whole project, including roughly EUR 51 million to build the wind farm and EUR 18.5 million to install solar panels. The rest of the budget is allocated to the interconnection infrastructure.

According to the announcement in the gazette, the Ramal Sur facilities will be located in the Spanish region of Navarre. The wind farm will feature 13 turbines of 6.6 MW each, while the solar farm will have close to 76,000 photovoltaic modules mounted on single-axis trackers and 208 inverters of 215 kVA.

The Ramal Sur solar and wind farms will be hybridised with the 424.91-MW Castejon 1 combined cycle gas turbine plant, which is owned by TotalEnergies.
