French multi-energy major TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTE) has signed a binding, long-term agreement to deliver a 2.7-MWp solar rooftop solution for Thai paint producer TOA Paint.

The photovoltaic (PV) system will be installed atop TOA Paint’s factory in the province of Samut Prakan. TotalEnergies will use 5,022 modules for this project, the company announced today.

The solar system will produce around 3,970 kWh of clean power per year, enough to help the paint manufacturer's factories meet 27% of their electricity needs, the statement reads.

Under the agreement with the customer, TotalEnergies will also operate the rooftop PV plant, while TOA Paint will pay for the power the solar array generates for 15 years.

TotalEnergies Renewables Distributed Generation has a portfolio of over 600 MW of distributed generation (DG) solar projects in development and operation worldwide, of which more than 100 MW of capacity is in Asia.
