Fervo gets USD-100m loan for 1st phase of large US geothermal project
Sep 11, 2024 11:39 CEST(ADPnews) - May 17, 2011 - The town of Lakeview in the US state of Oregon is seeking a USD-3.7-million (EUR 2.6m) federal loan for the development of a geothermal site to heat schools and a hospital.
The Lakeview town council has given its nod to seeking a loan from the US Department of Agriculture under the Rural Development programme. According to town manager Ray Simms, the loan will likely be extended in fiscal 2011/12.
The town plans to drill a new well at the Barry well site south of Lakeview.
