Toyota Motor Corp (TYO:7203), Toyota Tsusho Corp (TYO:8015) and Mitsubishi Kakoki Kaisha Ltd (TYO:6331) will be working together to introduce equipment for the production of hydrogen from biogas in Thailand.

Mitsubishi Kakoki will manufacture the equipment with plans to install it in November 2023. Meanwhile, Toyota Motor and Toyota Tsusho will seek to establish an overall system to compress, store and transport both biogas and hydrogen.

For the purposes of this partnership, biogas will be derived from local chicken manure and food waste, according to the announcement. It was also mentioned that the new equipment will be used as part of a series of initiatives focusing on producing, transporting, storing, and using hydrogen.
