China’s Trina Solar Co Ltd (SHA:688599) said on Thursday that it will supply 177 MW of its solar modules under a master sales agreement with Philippine renewable power producer PetroGreen Energy Corp (PGEC).

PetroGreen’s subsidiary, Rizal Green Energy Corp, will use the modules in solar projects located in San Jose municipality, Nueva Ecija, and in the provinces of Pangasinan and Isabela in the Philippines. Combined, these solar farms will feature more than 129,000 Trina Solar modules, the Chinese manufacturer said.

Under the agreement, PetroGreen will be able to select the most suitable modules for each project.

Trina Solar and PetroGreen have been partners since 2015. One of PetroGreen’s projects carrying Trina modules is the 27-MW Dagohoy on the island of Bohol, which is due to be finalised this year.
