China’s Trina Solar Co Ltd will supply 6 MW of photovoltaic (PV) modules from its Vertex series to a company in Yemen for high-efficiency distributed solar projects in the Middle East.

According to an announcement on Tuesday, the solar equipment manufacturer has signed a sales agreement with PV firm Ai Raebi for the delivery of its latest generation of modules.

The Vertex series, 500-W+ ultra-high-power modules with conversion efficiency rate of 21%, was launched in late February, while mass production started in March.

“We are impressed by the Vertex series modules and its 500W+ power output. We look forward to helping ease the power shortage and accelerating the adoption of clean energy in Yemen with the new modules," Abdullah M Raebi, Ai Raebi general manager, commented.
