Fiba Group unit eyes EBRD loan for 75 MW of new solar in Turkey
Sep 17, 2024 15:21 CESTISTANBUL (Turkey), November 19 (SeeNews) – Turkish lender Sekerbank [BIST:SKBNK] said on Wednesday it has signed a $60 million (48 million euro) loan agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to finance energy efficiency and renewable energy projects of individuals and entities in Turkey.
The loan will be provided under the Turkey Residential Energy Efficiency Finance Facility (TuREEFF) programme of the EBRD, Sekerbank said in a bourse filing.
The EBRD will extend a $48 million portion of the loan with a tenor of five years, while the remaining $12 billion portion will be provided by the Clean Technology Fund with maturity of 12 years, Sekerbank explained.
