Fiba Group unit eyes EBRD loan for 75 MW of new solar in Turkey
Sep 17, 2024 15:21 CESTISTANBUL (Turkey), December 23 (SeeNews) – Turkish energy company Zorlu Enerji [BIST:ZOREN] said on Tuesday it has received a preliminary licence for a 100 megawatt (MW) geothermal power project in the southwestern Turkish province of Denizli.
Turkey’s energy market regulator has granted the preliminary licence for the Kizildere III JES geothermal project to Zorlu Enerji's wholly-owned unit Zorlu Dogal Elektrik Uretimi, Zorlu Enerji said in a bourse filing.
The Turkish electricity market legislation requires power project developers to obtain preliminary licences for a period of up to 24 months during which they have to complete the necessary permit procedures for their projects and apply for a generation licence.
Zorlu Enerji, part of local conglomerate Zorlu, is active in the design, installation, operation of power plants and electricity sales through its subsidiaries. The company also explores, produces and distributes natural gas in Turkey.
