Eku Energy commissions 40-MW battery site in England
Sep 18, 2024 5:37 CESTUK electric propulsion company Evolito has taken over the business and assets of local aerospace battery solutions company Electroflight in a drive to create to full powertrain solutions capability.
The price tag of the deal remained undisclosed in the press release published on Tuesday.
Cheltenham-based Electroflight offers battery solutions for the electrification of the aerospace industry.
“The combined capabilities will enable us to deliver flexible solutions for our customers, from best-in-class motor and controller subsystems to fully-integrated electric powertrains,” Evolito’s CCO Ajay Lukha noted in the press release.
Evolito makes electric motors and controllers for aerospace applications with its products enabling a range of new electric propulsion applications, helping to accelerate the industry’s move towards net zero.
The company was spun out in 2021 by electric motor and controller pioneer YASA which is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz.
