UK Good Energy's H1 2013 net profit rises 52%

Sep 30, 2013 - UK renewable power supplier Good Energy Group Plc (LON:GOOD) said today its net profit rose 52% on the year to GBP 926,000 (USD 1.5m/EUR 1.1m) in the first six months of the year.

Pre-tax profit grew 47% to GBP 1.17 million.

Good Energy's revenue went up 27% to GBP 18.2 million, boosted by the strong increase in electricity and gas clients. The number of electricity clients rose by 16% and that of gas clients by 64%. The company announced a GBP 0.01 interim dividend per share.

The company pointed to two highlights for the current year - the launch of the construction of the Hampole wind farm and the reaching of 100,000 clients.
