E2 Energy is seeking to raise GBP 2.9 million (USD 3.8m/EUR 3.3m) on green investment platform Abundance to refinance a 1-MW portfolio of wind turbines in the UK, Abundance said this week.

The portfolio includes eight wind turbines at farms in the North of England that were installed between 2012 and 2016 and that are all receiving feed-in-tariffs (FiTs).

E2 Energy is owned by Dublin-based Arena Capital Partners Ltd, which has installed or purchased more than 70 turbines since its creation in 2014. Arena director Ian Greer said that the funds from the offer will be used to acquire similar wind turbines.

E2 Energy is offering debentures with an effective annual return of 5% for 16 years with interest and capital paid every six months.

Abundance co-founder and managing director Bruce Davis said that Abundance is offering its customers a wind energy investment for the first time in two years.
