Scottish National Investment Bank invests in ZeroAvia's Series C round
Sep 13, 2024 13:36 CESTUK geological and geophysical services provider Getech Group plc (LON:GTC) on Tuesday said that its subsidiary H2 Green Ltd has signed a non-binding agreement with Eversholt Rail for development of systems to supply green hydrogen for hydrogen-powered trains in the UK.
Under the memorandum of understanding (MoU) the two companies will cooperate to develop hydrogen supply solutions for the local railway. The partners will seek to determine the requirements for production and refuelling infrastructure for wide-scale deployment of hydrogen-powered trains.
The goal is to deploy such trains on routes where electrification is not viable, including the Far North and West Highland Lines in Scotland, Getech said.
In the next phase, H2Green and Eversholt Rail will work on developing commercial proposals for rail hydrogen supply systems, and jointly present the solutions to transport operators, infrastructure companies, and relevant government departments and agencies.
