Nordex to supply 6.8-MW turbines for 68-MW German wind project
Sep 18, 2024 9:08 CESTUS safety testing and inspection company UL Solutions Inc (NYSE:ULS) has acquired German hydrogen component testing firm TesTneT Engineering GmbH, bolstering its expertise in alternative fuels.
The acquisition, whose financial details were not disclosed, will allow UL Solutions to help advance the adoption of hydrogen-powered technologies globally, the US firm said on Tuesday.

Based near Munich, TesTneT offers testing services for various hydrogen storage systems, refuelling stations and their components. It conducts hydraulic tests, destructive testing, materials testing and customised testing of storage tanks. TesTneT, which has a second location in Canada, serves a global customer base including the automotive industry and major hydrogen component manufacturers.
“Hydrogen technology is increasingly important in the transition to sustainable energy, and as a global safety science leader in the energy transition, this is a promising field for us,” UL Solutions’s CEO Jennifer Scanlon commented on the deal.
The transaction was completed on July 8, 2024.
