World set to install 593 GW of new solar in 2024 - Ember
Sep 19, 2024 13:28 CEST(ADPnews) - May 10, 2011 - United Solar, a unit of US flexible solar laminate maker Energy Conversion Devices Inc (NASDAQ:ENER), said yesterday that it will supply 500 kW of its laminates to Mumbai in India.
An order was placed by JSW Green Energy Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of power company JSW Energy Ltd (BOM:533148). The latter, part of the JSW Group of companies, is using solar energy in power generating platforms in line with its growth strategy.
JSW Green Energy will utilise United Solar's photovoltaic (PV) industry expertise and superior flexible solar technology for on-grid solar applications in India.
JSW Green Energy is a peak power generator company, currently active in engineering, procurement and construction of rooftop grid-interactive or off-grid PV installations. The company is also in the business of setting up biogas-based anerobic digesters across the country.
