Caeli Wind GmbH, a German startup that operates a digital marketplace for potential wind project areas, plans further financing rounds after it just attracted a seven-digit investment, a spokeswoman for the company told Renewables Now on Monday.

The investment was made by German private equity firm High-Tech Gruenderfonds (HTGF) via a convertible bond.

HTGF said on Friday the financing will enable the startup to strengthen its activities in Germany and prepare for expansion into neighbouring markets.

Launched at the end of 2022, Caeliā€™s platform helps bring key players in the deployment of wind energy and data together. Property owners, such as farmers, forest owners, cooperatives or municipalities, can use the platform to check whether their properties are suitable for wind power generation, calculate possible returns, and eventually offer leases. Project developers, in turn, can apply for the offered areas and submit bids.
