Uruguay's UTE postpones bid opening of 65-MWp solar tender

Uruguay's state-run power company Administracion Nacional de Usinas y Transmisiones Electricas (UTE) has again postponed the bid opening of its competitive tender for the construction of a 65-MWp solar photovoltaic (PV) park.

The new date is now January 15, 2020, moved from December 18, 2019, according to UTE’s annex to the tender documents published this week.

The tender was open until October 25, 2019. Since then, terms of the tender went through numerous modifications and visits to the construction site and the bid opening was pushed several times.

The solar park is to be located at the thermal power plant Punta del Tigre in San Jose department.
