PNE wins 24 MW of onshore wind projects in German auction
Sep 19, 2024 8:35 CESTAug 5, 2013 - The offshore substation (OSS) for the DanTysk wind farm project in the German North Sea has been successfully installed, project owners Swedish Vattenfall AB and Munich's municipal utility Stadwerke Muenchen said Friday.
The substation was installed in a week after a construction period of some two years.
The OSS will transform the electrical power of the 80 turbines from 33 kilovolt (kV) into 155 kV. Then, the electricity will also pass the converter station Sylwin1 before reaching the shore through a subsea cable.
The 288-megawatt (MW) DanTysk wind farm is located on the west of the Sylt island in the North Sea.
