PNE wins 24 MW of onshore wind projects in German auction
Sep 19, 2024 8:35 CESTJun 11, 2014 - German wind farm developer and operator Ventotec GmbH said today it has ordered 19 turbines from Danish wind turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) for the repowering of its 63-MW Klettwitz wind farm in the Brandenburg province.
The company will use Vestas' V112-3,3 MW machines to replace the old 38 Vestas machines at the existing wind farm, which has been operational for 15 years. The contract includes an option for eight more turbines.
The delivery of the equipment is scheduled for the second half of 2014, while completion and commissioning is planned for the first quarter of 2015.
The Klettwitz wind farm is the largest repowering project in Germany, Ventotec said. The company has total of 620 MW of installed wind power capacity worth around EUR 900 million (USD 1.2bn).
