Eurowind, Wind Estate set up EUR-400m wind JV in Denmark
Sep 18, 2024 11:01 CESTDec 27, 2011 - Danish wind-turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) will be challenged to achieve its targeted order intake for 2011 unless it gets deals in the last days of the year, Danish daily Berlingske Business was cited as saying today by newswire Ritzau Finans.
The company expects its full-year orders to amount to 7-8 GW but it has so far announced contracts for only 5.681 GW, Berlingske Business pointed out. Vestas has also scored deals in the fourth quarter, which have not been disclosed yet.
Vestas could be awarded three or four large orders between Christmas and New Year but one should be satisfied if the lower end of the estimated order intake range is reached, Jacob Pedersen, senior analyst at Sydbank, told Berlingske Business.
In the past five years, Vestas did receive contracts in the days between Christmas and New Year, the daily said.
