Denmark’s Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) today unveiled its potential participation as a turbine supplier in a 1-GW-plus offshore wind project in Northern Europe along with a 90-MW order for an onshore project in South Korea.

In relation to the offshore project, Vestas said it has signed a conditional agreement for the supply of turbines for a two-phased development that exceeds the company’s current disclosure threshold of 1 GW. The company noted it will give more details only in the event that a firm and unconditional order is received.

Vestas made an almost identical announcement less than a month ago.

Meanwhile in Korea, the Danish company has received an order to supply and supervise the installation of 21 units of V136-4.2 MW wind turbines in 4.3 MW mode, and then service them under a multi-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) deal.

Vestas disclosed neither the name of the project nor its developer. It expects to start turbine deliveries in the second quarter of next year and to commission the machines in 2026.
