Eurowind, Wind Estate set up EUR-400m wind JV in Denmark
Sep 18, 2024 11:01 CESTJun 12, 2014 - Danish wind turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) has let go 80 employees from its office in Aarhus, as they did not accept the company's offer to relocate, spokesperson Michael Zarin told TV2 East Jutland.
Vestas decided earlier in March to sell one of its office buildings in Aarhus, where it is based, and to move several commercial operations to Copenhagen in order to bring them closer to media, financiers, customers and investors. A total of 200 employees were offered to relocate but only 60% of them accepted the proposal.
The turbine maker's Global Sales, Global Marketing, Communications and Corporate Relations as well as Finance operations are planned to move to the office in Copenhagen in the second half of 2014. The company's headquarters and CEO base will remain in Aarhus.
