Danish wind turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) will start on October 20 an open house at its nacelles factory in Colorado as the startup of a hiring campaign that will add 200 new jobs at the facility.

The company will increase its workforce at the Brighton site over the next few months ahead of a production ramp-up in an effort to meet rising demand, it said in a press release. This summer, the manufacturer boasted of a 43% year-on-year jump in its second-quarter order intake to 3,807 MW, which helped it to push the order backlog to an all-time high.

The selected candidates will take roles in logistics and production, with the positions announced being with a “temporary-to-hire” status.

Privately-owned firm Elwood Staffing will help Vestas in the recruitment process and will hold a series of hiring events through January.
